VII.2.11 Pompeii. December 2007. Pillar between VII.210 and VII.2.11. There was formerly a painting on the pillar.
This represented a bearded man carrying an object on a pole, which had the appearance of a garment fresh from the dye.

At the time of excavation, in a recess of the north wall, several wooden shelves were fixed into the wall on which were found glass containers with the colours necessary for the activities of the dyers.
