VII.2.11 Pompeii. December 2007. Pillar between VII.210 and VII.2.11. There was formerly a painting on the pillar. This represented a bearded man carrying an object on a pole, which had the appearance of a garment fresh from the dye. See Mau, A., 1907, translated by Kelsey F. W. Pompeii: Its Life and Art. New York: Macmillan. (p.385-6).
